Our Saint Patrick's Day

The kids and I, in all our green glory, made our way to Josh's school for their annual Spring Activities Week. Each year, during lunch, the clubs host a 'food fair' where you are able to buy all sorts of goodies, from savory to sweet. The kids were delighted: BBQ'd cheeseburgers, chocolate chip pancakes, Jamba Juice, and cupcakes. Josh and I enjoyed lumpia and eggrolls, which the wee little ones passed on.

It was especially fun this year because it landed on Saint Patrick's Day. Let's just say that people watching (students and teachers alike) was at it's prime. Mazzy adored the attention she received from everybody, ESPECIALLY the girls from Josh's student government class. She was all smiles!! Maxton looked quite festive in green and his red hair generated a lot of comments, being St. Paddy's and all.

It's always so much fun to see Josh with his students. It's evident what a fantastic teacher he is, but more importantly how much he loves his job.

While Josh and I were to enjoy a proper Irish meal with some good friends, Vanessa and Chris, the kids had a dinner comprised of green scrambled eggs and Irish Soda Bread. Not super appetizing, I must admit.
