Since St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner (ya know, Ireland, potatoes) and creating some sort of make-shift garden is on the brain I decided to have the kids grow potato plants. Hopefully we can put them in soil and see what happens.
Man, I give myself credit for letting them pour the water from the pitcher...ya know, with my control issues. ;)
Ali: this is my project for today...minus the H2O. Going to draw faces on the potatoes and then stick toothpicks in them and provide the kids with a little plastic cup. It's more science-y project but I figure using toothpicks and pens are crafty.;)

Harlie's expression in that last photo is hysterical! What a fun project for the kiddos. They'll be so excited when they start to sprout!
All of this kids sitting there smiling their giant smiles made me laugh out loud. They look SO pleased with themselves.
Mel, I laughed out loud too!
